Fringe?

I would Really quite like a fringe. I used to make myself little thin fringes, but now i want a thick, blunt fringe. Both of my sisters have been wearing adorable fringes. and yes i have been jealous. I've wanted long blonde hair with a straight blunt fringe since i saw Chantelle on ANTM in season i don't know what. And now seeing my sisters, Lady Hawke, then Abbey Lee then this new discovery of Diane Birch, i just want a fringe! but i don't know that i will suit it! or be able to maintain it.. ah. But here are my fringe inspirations! bar my adorable sisters.

holga holga holga holga holga

sooo a few weeks back my birthday came about and amid all the excitement and 18ness the time of presents appeared.. and jayne had one part of hers missing! But it has now arrived, and i love it. it is a holga 120gn. these so called 'toy cameras' are freaking sweet, made almost completely out of plastic they make pictures seem distorted and mix colours in strange ways. they've become very popular throughout wellington causing their prices to skyrocket into the hundreds, but jayne being the smart we girl she is bought it off ebay for less than half of that. so in these coming weeks i will be putting up pictures for you to see! but for now all i have are photos of the camera itself! here yoooou are!

quiet life camera club

any photography on it! and while doing this i came across (also through the reference from a friend) came across the quiet life! i've seen it around good as gold every so often but never knew that it was so focused around photography and design. created by andy mueller in 1997 as an "outlet for purely creative deign" it has become popular in skating and street circles. one thing that stands out when looking through the site is the "quiet life camera club" where users can submit photos of whatever they please and they are shown on the site. some of these have also been turned into two books that are currently selling right now.
after all this i headed to good as gold to have a closer look at some of their apparel and found that they were selling a simple dslr camera bag, that i quickly snatched up as i was without a camera bag and have smacked it against things a few too many times..

So the point of this wee post is to show you my new camera bag purchased today when jayne also bought herself a pair of jeans! so here's some photos!

Wranglers

Well, the day did not work out as planned. I ummed and ahhed about what to do, i felt getting the stretchy cheap monday jeans was too much like wearing jeggings, and because of their unisex nature, the stiffer denim didnt fit me at all. (i literally could not pull them up)

I ended up falling in love with a pair of cigarette wrangler jeans, that were so very high waisted. and they were cheaper than the cheap mondays! I would like to thank Jack for his patience, while i studied my appearance.

images of the jeans will come, as soon as the weather becomes cold enough to wear them.
for now i am dreaming of snow and winter.. not that it snows here, but i do enjoy winter.. and winter clothes..

Oh Abbey..

I follow a blog via my Google reader, one of those ones where they just find images on the internet or other blogs and then thats their blog. anyway, the "blogger" (eugh sorry, i hate referring to things as blogs and bloggers and blogging, why did they have to create such a horrible word?) is obsessed with the model Abbey Lee. and to be honest.. it's a catching affect (did i use the right one Sarah or Charlotte?). I thoroughly enjoy looking at her. her fringe, her gappy teeth, her vacant expression which seems to be the one and only expression she has, and yet it adorns the runway, and magazines.

I leave you with my favourite image of Dear Abbey, so far, as i have a feeling her face will only get more exposure and fame.

Monday is:Cheap Monday

After finally getting a job, (yay employment!(someone hire jack! he's great!)), i started thinking about what i would spend my first pay on. not having any real responsibilities (i.e.: living at home) i have decided to spend my first few months of being paid, on frivolous possessions, and THEN think about being responsible and saving for my future, blahblahblah. for now! fun spending! My pay arrived on Saturday, and for my first purchase i have chosen : Cheap Monday black skinny jeans, high waisted of course. therefore i dub tomorrow, Cheap Monday, Monday.
i have been waiting to get black skinny jeans for many many years. i know i know, how have i lived without them, i hear you scream, but i have had ways. but after tomorrow, i shall feel a little bit more complete, in the most vainest sense possible.

and for the future, a perfume? a present for jack? jewelery? who knows.

that's all.

Magazine - October 1994

Throughout my life both my parents have been very interested in housing and everything that goes along with it. This meant that by the age of 17 I have been in something like 14 houses, some rented but most bought and a lot of the time they have been renovated.

Some of these have been made into very beautiful houses, and only once this has attracted the interest of others. This interest was of the New Zealand “Your Home”. So in October 1994 the current house was featured along with pictures of it and also.. my only claim to fame.. Me!

So I have included photos of the magazine that I came across lately, I am the tiny little blonde thing that’s just growing into its cheeks and the woman is my mum and the man is my dad! So I hope that you enjoy the pictures of my youth!
