Sale day

This morning at the crack of what felt like dawn jack and i got ready to hit up a couple of sales on in Wellington. Due my annoying lack of time, we had a serious time crunch, but i think it also encouraged us to get to the sales early before the good stuff went!
first we stopped into a twentysevennames sale, in a hairdressers.. this was a bit odd and a little disappointing. not much selection and i wanted to save my money for what was up next! the Good as Gold (www.goodasgold.co.nz) sale! it was some sort of collaboration with manual magazine? an almost garage sale, with prints and seconds and printed tee's as well as stock from G.A.G.
Jack and i really enjoyed the sale. not often does this happen, i am usually overwhelmed and get stressed out. but the people were so welcoming and everyone there was so nice, it was great! in the end jack walked away with a tee shirt he'd wanted for ages for $30, and a bandana that was once $110 he got for only $10!
i walked away with a $5 moss projects tee, and a beautiful pair of Keep Shoes! in hot pink and berry plaid.


i love them!





the tee and the shoes comnbined are quite "gangstaah". I'll most likely not wear them together.. though i make no promises.



Funnily enough these shoes are versions of shoes that Jack has!



We're going to be matchy.. it'll be rad. i'm so glad i didn't buy my ones when he did! i was tempted to with a 15% discount, but decided it wasn't a great enough saving for me.

We are the Superlative Conspiracy

Woah it's been some time.. (Not that there's many people reading this, but oh well!)

So I've just come back from down south, snowboarding in Wanaka, it was good fun, but some little shit walked off with my pretty little headphones and my goggles! But some good has come from this, I get new headphones! So I've been doing my research again! The 'phones that I had stolen were WESC Oboe's (a Swedish company that branched out from clothing to headphones and stuff like that) anyway, I'm hopefully going to get around the same amount of cash back from the insurance that I paid, so I'm thinking that I might pay a bit more and get the level up, the Bongo's, better sound quality and way cooler looks and styles.

So I'm going to include some pictures and videos about the company down the bottom, so tell me what you think of them, I think they're pretty rad, but hey that's just me!

its a cold siunday evening. I'm wearing my mum's generic black turtle neck woolen jumper. i absolutley love it. i'm finding that winter has put me in a new mood with my clothing. i have heavily gotten into black (its been a long time coming) and i suddenly find myself hating all my clothing.
this could be because i've lost some variety as i had to clear out my drawers drastically as they were breaking under the sheer weight of my clothing. but i also have a feeling that its because i have a tendency to avoid rewearing an "outfit"
(unless at home). and as its becoming colder and colder, the clothes i can wear are becoming more and more limited! i either need to go op shopping or make something. Both!


this little guy used to belong to the irish club, after a veeery long time they decided that he really didnt fit in, so he came to a better home.

The Mad Birthday Weekend

Jack and I have had a full on week with birthdays. What is it about June?? seriously! its just annoying.
not only do two of my best friends have their birthday on the same day, but that also happens to be Jacks Dad's Birthday!
so this weekend was a bit nutso for us all!
popping from one place to another, shopping furiously printing photos for presents.. madness!
but it all turned out well in the end, they all turned one year older.

Nikki And Zoe (two of my oldest friends) turned 18! Jono turned 17, and My darling sister turned 21 (in GREECE!), happy birthday to you all!

damn ants

As the winter sets in.. it appears that the ants are also seeking shelter in the comfort of our home.

usually they freak me out. the thought of them crawling all around the place is just too much for me. When they're downstairs its fine. but not in my room! its to close.. for all i know they could be living on me during the night.. having tiny ant parties. so i decided to nip it in the bud... now I'm just worried my darlings cats will eat the poison!

holy crap

Whilst checking the blogs i read, i saw these. I'm always amazed by the shoes i see on JAK&JILL BLOG, but when i saw these, i wondered how one could walk in them, but i noticed the detailing on the jeans!

Iwas given the idea to do that unraveling type thing by my darling sister, she sent me to a "DIY" post where it explained the long process. Unfortunately my attempt didn't go so well.. it was so time consuming and the end product wasn't really worth it. It just sits weirdly, most probably because i used the wrong sort of tee shirt.

BUT this has given me an idea for a jeans project i kind of have going (by kind of i mean i haven't actually started yet, but fully intend to start soon). hmmm.. oh the possibilities.

i really do love DIY fashion.

Say no to "Tha Bomb"

So some of you may have heard (or not) that there are people among use that are trying to bring back the horrible expression that is "tha Bomb" but we cannot allow this to happen.
I'm not trying to say that it was always a horrible expression, I mean back when it was cool I used to love it, in fact i was probably on of those loser kids that didn't hear it until as it was fazing out so I kept saying it when it was uncool, but we're done with that faze of slang! It's just not right to go around trying to bring back these kind of expressions, just leave them in retirement!

So I beg those of you that are reading this blog, please don't make Wellington/New Zealand the loser kid that gets bullied by all the other cities and countries around the world! (I mean we are New Zealand it's not like we need to give people more reason to bully us)

So SAY NO TO "THA BOMB"
